Several PC manufacturing companies have recently unveiled their first CoPilot+ PCs. However, all of them are powered by chips from chip maker Qualcomm.
In the meantime, another top chip maker, Intel, said on Tuesday that the company's Lunar Lake chip series is going to arrive in the third quarter of 2024. And this chip will support the full Copilot+ AI feature, reports tech site Engadget.
The chip maker has announced the launch of more than 80 new laptop models, in collaboration with more than 20 hardware partners, for the holiday season. A software update will add new Copilot+ AI features like 'Recall' and 'CoCreator' to PCs.
The chipmaker expects to ship more than 40 million AI PC chips this year, which include a neural processing unit (NPU) for generative AI features.

“The unveiling of Lunar Lake will bring meaningful improvements in areas such as security and battery life. Special thanks to our partnership with Intel.” – wrote Pawan Davuluri, VP of Microsoft Windows and Devices, in a press release.
We are excited to see Lunar Lake hit the market with 40+ TOPS NPUs. It will take Microsoft's CoPilot+ experience to another level.”
